Modern Mouse Radio #106: Disney’s Approach to Social Issues
Posted by The Modern Mouse Crew
Over the past few years, Disney has been adding mature themes to their family friendly films. Frozen has themes of family love vs. romantic love, Zootopia tackles racism and tolerance, and the live action Jungle Book discusses identity. Andy from the DCast joins Josh to discuss these themes and why Disney is doing it. Is it good or bad for business? Are children picking up on these themes and is it thought provoking to them. Andy himself has 3 adopted children and is a pastor at his church so he brings his opinions and voice to a polarizing topic!
